Procedural Information

 

A detailed consultation with Your Doctor is required before your procedure can proceed. The consultation will take between 30-45 minutes and during this time Doctor, Nurse or other Practitioner will:

  

  • Discuss your medical history, including any past procedures, current medications, notable illness in either you or your family, and any known allergies.
  • Take a weight measurement.
  • Discuss all the aspects of the procedure with you including suitability as a candidate, desires & expected outcomes, anaesthesia, costs involved, etc.
  • Outline post operative care & expectations including wearing a support garment, if appropriate.
  • Encourage you to express any concerns & anxieties.
  • Arrange a suitable time for your procedure to take place.
  • Collect a deposit to secure your procedure time.
  • Order a routine blood test to be performed. (Compulsory for all patients)
  • Organise a time for a support garment fitting, if required.

  

You will then be sent written confirmation, but should you wish to come in for another consultation to chat with our Doctors and staff, please feel free to do so.
